Overview

The first time you add an Egnyte card to a Flow, you will need to create a configuration. This will allow you to connect to your Egnyte account, save your account information, and reuse that configuration next time you build a Flow with the connector. That way, you don’t have to sign in every time you want to build a Flow with this Connector. Instead, use the configuration you have already set up. You can create and save multiple configurations and share them with your teammates.

Here’s how to set up a new configuration in Egnyte:

  1. First, enter in an Account Nickname. This should be unique so if you are connecting multiple Egynte accounts you will be able to tell them apart.
  2. Enter in your account’s domain (without https://). For example, if you log into Egnyte at https://mycompany.egnyte.com, you would enter mycompany.egnyte.com into this field.
  3. Click “Create” to finish this configuration.

    Events

    • File or Folder Copied

This event trigger will initiate a workflow when either a File or a Folder are copied.

      Options

      • Path (text): This path specifies the specific path of the folder that currently exists in Egnyte where you want the event to trigger when a new file or folder is created. A very specific format exists for both and looks like the following:
        • Folder - /[Insert Folder Name]/[Insert Folder Name]/……

      Output Fields

      • Folder or File
        • Path (text): the path to the file or folder (e.g. /Shared/Folder/File). You can find the file’s Path by opening the file and clicking on Details.
        • Is Folder _(true/false)_: Determines whether the item created is a folder. If false that means what was created is a file.
        • Created At (timestamp): the time when the file or folder was created.

        • Execution ID (text): The ID for the event.
    • File or Folder Created

NOTE: The Egnyte API has strict rate limiting on the endpoint used for this card. If you begin to see Forbidden errors in your connection to Egnyte, rate limiting is the most likely culprit. In order to work around rate limiting, you can ensure you don’t have any other Flows using the same connection as the Flow encountering the error, and/or create additional users to spread the number of API pings around different accounts.
