Create Room

This card creates a a new room in HipChat. Note that your access token will need the “Manage Rooms” scope in order to be able to create a room.

Options

• Room Privacy (dropdown list): designate whether the room should be private (only invited people can join the room) or public (anyone on your team can join the room)

Input Fields

• Room
  • Name (text): name of the room; must be a unique name
  • Topic (text): a description of what the room is about
  • Owner(text): the id, email address, or mention name (beginning with an ‘@’) of the room’s owner; this defaults to the user associated with the access token

Output Fields

• Room
  • Room ID (text): the ID of the created room
