Please Upgrade This Card

Unfortunately, there are times when an older connector or individual card needs to be retired due to API changes, major feature changes, or performance or reliability issues. Our goal is to provide advanced warning and continually invest in features that make upgrades as seamless as possible.

Cards with a “Please Upgrade This Card” alert continue to work until further notice in active Flows, but it is recommended that you upgrade to the latest version of the connector.

The typical progression for cards that need to be upgraded is:

  1. Transition Period:  Upgrade warnings appear on cards but the connector remains available to existing users and Flows operate normally.
  2. Connector is No Longer Supported:  Active Flows continue to operate normally, but you can no longer access the old connector to add new cards and you cannot activate (or reactivate) Flows that use the old connector.
  3. Eventually, only after customers have been notified and warned, Flows that continue to use unsupported cards may be deactivated. This is reserved for cases where the card can no longer function due to deprecation of an application API or if the operation has an adverse effect on the health of the overall system.

Tips for Upgrading Cards

If you mapped fields from this card to another card, you can click one field at a time to see lines that show where the field has been mapped. (The X-Ray option on the toolbar needs to be on to enable this.) If you drag a new field over one of the mapped fields, you’ll have the option to replace all instances at once. If you have to delete the old card before you can add the new one (e.g. if it’s an event), then a “ghost” version of the old mapped field still appears in inputs and you will also be prompted with the option to replace all instance at once.
