What’s a Flow?
With simple drag and drop, you build a custom solution that can:
- Talk to over 150 cloud applications - Send data in (e.g. send an email, add a customer, update project status) and Get data out (e.g. look up a customer, read a record, download a file).
- Pass and transform data from one step to the next - Get data from one place, manipulate it, make decisions about how to proceed, then send it somewhere else. You decide the number of steps and the order.
- It runs on Autopilot - Tell it what to look for: a new customer, an updated deal, a new row in a spreadsheet, once a week – choose from hundreds of events.
- Watch it run or come back later to see the results - A daily summary email tells you how often it ran and if there were any errors. The FLOW History pane lets you see exactly which values passed through each step.
What kinds of things do customer build with Flows?
- Real-time notification: Email a salesperson when a key customer has a support issue, Slack the team when there’s a big new sale, or alert an engineer when there’s a change to a dependency.
- Synchronize across cloud apps: Move customer reported bugs into developer project requirements, update the sales team’s customer tracking with issues that come through support, or allow a team to generate new records by adding rows to a simple spreadsheet.
- Automate routine tasks: Create and send out monthly reports, on-board new employees, or copy updates from one system to another.
- <Your Solution Here>: The possibilities are endless… click New Flow to start building. Look for ? buttons wherever you might need help or there’s always the Help command on the toolbar.
Happy Flow building!
